My name is Kara Cargile, and I am completing my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Montevallo this December. I will graduate as both an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC), having successfully passed my CPCE and NCE examinations.
I am deeply committed to working directly with clients and creating therapeutic relationships that facilitate meaningful change. My clinical training has included providing individual counseling to clients with serious mental illness (SMI) diagnoses and co-facilitating therapeutic groups, experiences that have strengthened my commitment to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care.
As I enter the professional field, I am actively seeking an LPC-S (Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor) to provide supervision as I work toward full licensure and continue developing my clinical skills in service of those I am privileged to support.
