As a vet and soloist with the Timber Creek Regiment and Colorguard, I have committed at least 10 hours a week to the program including weekends, and always have prioritized timely arrival and communicated with coaches and captains if my attendance would be irregular. I have organized and managed a group of 10-20 athletes, and run/coach “sectionals” (specialized individual practices) which are scheduled when it is felt that the normal practice hours with a coach are not enough for the team to be at the appropriate level, as well as provided 1 on 1 or small-group specified assistance outside of practice with any skills that teammates feel underdeveloped in. This group has taught me an invaluable sense of teamwork, reliability, and responsibility for working in a unit.
