  • C-Diff / Isolation Room Committee : worked closely with IP and department managers identify and resolve increased RL's for isolation room exposure near misses. Resulted in an overhaul of sign placement practices and increased number of isolation PPE caddies being installed on the units due to an increased number of near misses due to wrong or no isolation signs being displayed.
  • Preventative Maintenance : Developed a preventative maintenance schedule to were all patient care unit are bleached and Xenexed. ER - weekly, Care Units-monthly, sterile procedure rooms - bi-weekly. This reduced the number of microorganisms on a surface confirmed by ATP readers, thus reducing HAI's. Initiated Microfiber Duster heads in the sterile procedure rooms and the use of the Clorox 360 for a more thorough preventative clean throughout the hospital
  • Equipment for safety: Initiated the storage and use of CAPR systems for our employees. Initiated the purchase and use of stryker motorized stretchers for patient transportation for heavier patients and hard to get to test sites. Currently developing a process for safe patient car transfers.
