Named as the interim coach in the middle of summer during workouts in late July. Took over for Jason Wells who made a head coaching move to Bellville West high school. I accepted the job an got the kids to play hard for me. Started in Dupo, Illinois by winning the 7 on 7 tournament and got the team ready for the season . We went 5-6 for the season. As a offense we managed 34 points a game an over 340.8 yards a game. We won the first playoff game vs Parkway Central 36 -6 an lost the following week vs Parkway North 41-6. As an Offensive coordinator for 4 years we ran the air raid -spread offense. Inside zone run game an qb design runs. With only six offensive lineman for the year, an still managed to rush over 1500 yds rushing. One First team guard an 2nd team tackle selection on the offensive line. My skill position is wide receivers, an special teams coach. Also coached defensive backs. As a wide receivers coach at University city, 3 wide receivers went over 1000 yards in there career in our spread offense. Multiple threats at running back an slot receivers with 500 yards or more rushing an receiving as a offensive coordinator. As a special teams coach 8 returns for td on 6 on K.O.R and 2 punt returns. 1st team honors for kicker an punter this season. Two all district kickers an punters the past two years. On defense 2x all district corner backs and safeties with over 15 interceptions in the secondary for the season. Including the longest return in school history with a 99 yd interception return. Also we had the Defensive Player of The Year [D.P.O.Y. ]in our district at middle linebacker . As a team we made plays an battled an fought for University City. Im glad to have been part of the change here at University City. I learned an matured in to the coach an man by working with the University City kids an community, staff to bring some momentum to a program whos history was empty with no championships in school history. Its time for change for me to go to a powerful program with championship history, tradition and the right support from administration. This was a statistical season in University city history even though the record was right under 500 we could have easily been better. Talented an coachable kids helped rejuvenated the program.
