As floor nurse: provide care and educate patients in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital as they gain strength during their recovery from an illness or injury. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to help the patient achieve the highest level of independence. As charge nurse: ensure nursing staff feels supported through constant communication, encouragement, hands-on assistance, education, and constructive criticism. Communicate and collaborate with all staff and families, manage daily admissions and discharges, organize staffing and assignments, and be a team leader.

Provide care to approximately 2800 students and 200 staff daily. Create health plans for chronic health conditions, train staff in skills and emergencies in the Special Education department, triage student complaints, activate emergency services when needed, educate students on health topics, provide specialized health procedures to special education students, and more.

Oversaw seven schools and seven health technicians. Provided training, documents, and resources to the health technicians and other staff members to ensure all students received proper care from trained unlicensed staff.
