I currently do many tasks in my current position. I process cash receipts for multiple facilities in AFIN system. Post many different insurance payments for patients into Athena system. Post insurance payments for patients into Mental Health system Avatar and current system SmartCare. Receive payments in the form of cash/check or credit cards and prepare receipts and deposits. Process many reports for internal use and for the State of CA for Vital Stats info. Also prepare state report for surcharges made through our Environmental Health dept. Input inpatient charges from Kaweah Health hospital from Questys system into the Athena program so that the Pars can bill out to the insurances. Prepare refunds to patients and insurances on overpaid accts. I've done training and auditing of new co-worker's work for many aspects of this position. Prepare payment vouchers. Received mail and distributed to correct person. Answered phones. Helped on panels for interviewing and applications.
