As a medical assistant and patient service advocate, I am seeking an organization who can appreciate how I have withstood the many nuances healthcare has offered over the years. I have many skills in the trade aside from medical assisting. I am versed with processing referrals and authorizations as well as processing and preparing medical records requests. I've learned the many types of diagnosis coding from ICD-9 to the ICD-10 transition over the years. I provide the best customer service and patient care whenever possible. I have worked many years in the private practice setting for over 16 years and overcame the several pandemics from SARS, Swine flu, and Covid and dealt with the many types of precautions from personal protective equipment to learning telehealth visits to accommodate patients. I am a team player and work well with others. Aside from medical assisting, I have spent time as a crew member in the food service industry. In this setting I have learned several ways to accommodate patrons in diverse situations and always provide the best customer service. With this experience in different service atmospheres, I am able to adapt to many situations given to me with the confidence to persevere.
