The Society of St. Andrew is a non-profit organization. My job is seasonal. I work with growers and organizations, and coordinate 'gleaning' events to glean the fields after the growers have completed their harvest. The produce is distributed to local feeding agencies. Some growers donate tractor-trailer loads of rejected foods or donated produce. I coordinate the distribution of those loads to local agencies in SWVA.

I worked on two different projects with Westat, both twice. I worked with the National Assessment of Educational Progress, known as NAEP. This is a national assessment that is administered to 4th, 8th, and 12th-grade students. Times and dates were coordinated with school districts in advance. Our team of three administered computers to the students and monitored their progress. I worked on the ECLS-K; this was a longitudinal study of kindergarten students. I coordinated the testing dates with the participating schools. My team and I worked for three days at the schools, performing different tasks and working with the children. Their answers and actions were recorded via computer and transmitted daily to the Federal Department of Education and supporting agencies. When other groups encountered difficulties, technical or personal, I was sent to help, to keep everyone on the same completion dates.
