I support 2 recovery houses in the Merakey Fresh Start program.
As a former addict with 30 years clean, it is important to me to give back what was so freely given to me. On Mondays and Tuesdays, I go to 2 of Merakey's Fresh Start homes to provide support and understanding of how we became addicted to drugs. I offer words of encouragement, support, and resources. I assist those who have to appear in court to walk with them during one of the most stressful times in their lives. If there is a need and I can fill it with reason, I will. Our organization, though we are very young, has goals to help be the bridge to build solid foundations that foster clean and healthy living.
