Karen Kiser
Summary
After college, I began working with children in a Children's Home and then a preschool. I went on to receive my Master's of Education in School Counseling. I worked as a school counselor intern and a school counselor for two years before moving to Denver, CO. In Denver, I enjoyed working for the non-profit Project PAVE (Promoting Alternatives to Violence through Education). In this capacity I taught in classrooms as well as counseled children who had witnessed domestic violence in their homes. After having my two sons, I stayed home as a full time mom for many years. However, I have volunteered in many positions in churches and schools over the last 10 years. I also worked as a tutor with Play 2 Learn Tutoring from 2013-2014. In the past few years, I have worked at Genesis Health Club Preschool as a substitute teacher.
