Beginning my teaching career in a top-notch public school system helped lay the groundwork for developing strong, lifelong skills in the classroom. At the time, Cy-Fair ISD was utilizing an open concept strategy for elementary schools. Although I am not a proponent of the practice, it was a tremendous help to me as a first year teacher as I developed the essential qualities intrinsic to ensuring student success in the classroom.
