  • Implemented a Restorative Nursing Program: I was responsible for all waiver patients (35-40) who need a maintenance program to prevent loss of mobility. I in-serviced staff on the programs and monitored them for effectiveness. I conducted annual restorative evaluations, risk assessments (fall, braden, and aspiration) I wrote care plans for safe eating, safe bathing, and safe mobility. I monitored and ordered durable medical equipment, adaptive equipment as needed. I attended PT, OT and SLP appointments.
  • I managed the medication department at Grand Junction Regional Center for 50-65 patients. I collaborated with the pharmacists to order all medication. I received the medication shipments via Fed Ex and processed the medication and delivered it to the patients as needed. I ordered and stored all over the counter medication for all patients and delivered them as needed. I managed all of the homes medication rooms for compliance and monitored the ordering process to ensure all patients received their medication in a timely manner.
