Special Projects: COVID challenges during the drawdown of U.S. military troops by POTUS.
This became challenge due to requiring contractors to have Covid test every time they travelled.
Base commanders’ written approval to allow contractors on their base to repair force protection equipment.
The establishment and enforcement by USF-A of no additional troops, DoD, or contractor personnel into Afghanistan.
This meant; no leave for anyone with exception of Red Cross messages, this was also a One-Way ticket.
Meaning if one of my contractors wanted to go home on leave, they could not return, and no one would replace them.
Contractor personnel testing positive with Covid and their two-week quarantine period.
Contractor containment in Kuwait for over 2-month period as established by the Kuwaiti government due to Covid concerns.
Drawdown operations during Covid ~ as bases where slotted for closure ensuring force protection equipment was properly removed and secured for protection from adversaries was critical during this time.
