I am a certified coach with experience in executive leadership, career development and life coaching, I am also a practicing physician.
I completed my medical degree and postgraduate training in Anaesthesia in the UK and Canada. In 2002 I moved to the US and became a member of a large university anesthesiology department where I served as the residency program director for 12-years. I led a team of university administrators and academic physicians to create and sustain a nationally recognized training program for 110 anesthesiologists. In 2011 I received the ACGME “Parker J Palmer Courage to Teach” award in recognition of my work related to resident education and in 2015 I completed a Master’s degree in Academic Medicine. Throughout my career, I have taken an active leadership role nationally in professional societies related to anesthesia and education. In recent years I have stepped away from the limelight of academic leadership, focusing instead on coaching and developing individual physicians.
