I volunteered first starting November 15th 2021. I had a job already and would help here in morning before my shift started at Salvation Army. I was given a job from them when I left the Salvation Army. I would feed the cats first, then clean the cages and or pens. We had to swept and mop floors. Give medications to those animals that needed them, Keep records of all doses on log book. Make sure all stock items were replenished, check on them all through out the day. Clean up any messes that happened, Check their nails and teeth, make sure none were having health problems. Many times I had to work alone because the volunteers did not show up. We had to have everything completed by 10:30 am, to be ready for any clients wanting to adopt the cats or kittens. When clients would come in to look or pick a a animal, I would explain the cats health needs if any, and about their personality, some being timid, or very energetic. We would finalize if they were happy with a cat, paperwork etc.. Get the animal ready to go to its new home.

I started working part time ( their policy) and made full time in October, 3 months. I was very flexible with schedule , any hours . Stock items would come on a truck from main store every morning. Distribution, pricing, organizing, all items presented to me, maintaining visual merchandising to help drive sales, especially holiday items. Collaborated with team members to achieve store goals, and make sure customers are helped and or all needs are met. Participated in training of new employees in all store procedures, improving team effectiveness. Demonstrated friendliness, respect, and willingness to help where it was needed. Am adaptable to new procedures, or policies. Developed rapport with regular customers, fostering repeat store visits. Created inviting environment for customers by maintaining store cleanliness. Would clean bathrooms, take out garbage mop floors where spills were done by other people. I didn't have to be asked to clean up messes etc..

Worked in two departments, Clothing and formula \ food. Assisted customers in clothing selection providing good service to enhance shopping experience. Maintained visual merchandising standards to promote sales in both departments. Restocked merchandise daily as items would come in, needing to be priced and made sure right pieces were ordered for our store. Helped with Loss prevention whenever possible, lots of theft, (from clothing. ) Engaged with customers to help with product questions with food and formula. Maintained a clean and organized store environment, enhancing overall shopping environment. Assisted in managing inventory levels, accurately processing shipments, and restocking as needed. Developed strong relationships with repeat clients, leading to loyalty and return visits. Collaborated with team members to meet and exceed monthly sales targets. Greeted customers and provided outstanding customer service. Participated in periodic inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels. Helped management in planning and executing promotions and or sales events. Trained new employees.
