Volunteer Work

Leader of the local TOPS chapter for Smithfield, NC.  After being a member for many years I was elected leader to this group and am the longest-running leader in TOPS history.  This group has over 10,000 chapters nationwide and in Canada.  


Cub and Boy Scout leader for the Smithfield Pack and Troop.  Volunteered for this position to make sure that good strong leadership skills and knowledge were used when helping our youth navigate the scouting world.  Plan and organize all meetings for the pack which include 6 different levels.  Plan and take the youth on campouts.  Assist or lead all ceremonies involved.
