Additional Information

Due to my daughter being diagnosed with a life-threatening leukemia in 2002 my work experience ceased at that time. Her chemotherapy involved 3 years of treatment and several setbacks. I returned to the work force when her health was stabilized.

Because of this life experience I believe I have a better insight to the importance of the family pulling together as a unit. When my daughter was diagnosed my family fell apart and her father turned to drugs and left the home. I was left to fend for 5 small children and one who had weekly treatment at Children's Hospital in Madera. This is an important part of my life and the inspiration for me to want to help other families in crisis.
