Created and launched the new Surgical Technology Program at Dartmouth, developed all curriculum, and interviewed all prospective faculty and students for the program. Worked with and presented the program to Executive leadership. Applied and received accreditation from CAAHEP with zero findings. This yielded a 100% pass rate and 100% retention for first-year students.
Garnered three consecutive years with a 100% pass rate for the certification exam at ECPI. The following year the pass rate went to 67% (3 fails out of nine students). Completing a data analysis, I discovered that the classroom times had changed to a time outside of the normal schedule. I then changed the class time, which resulted in a pass rate increase to 80%.
Gathered critical survey data from Clinical sites which have rated the program at 90-100% satisfaction for the last 5 years. I worked to improve the student’s soft skills to produce a greater probability of success.
