Train Conductor and Yard Foreman

In an effort to satisfy a lifelong interest in locomotives, I was grateful to accept a cross-functional conductor position with one of America's largest railroads. My duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Schedule management; on-time delivery of interstate goods or passengers
  • Conferred with engineers regarding train routes, timetables and cargoes and discussed alternative routes in response to rail defects or obstructions
  • Preparation and management of inbound/outbound trains, inventory, and storage
  • Maintained detailed records of train movements, incidents, and maintenance activities as required by company policy and federal regulations
  • Coordination with outside railroads and customers
  • On call availability for immediate travel to assist or assume duties as needed

Process Improvement Engineer

Building on my experience with process implementation and management, I was given a project-based opportunity to work directly alongside our CEO and technical team designing and developing processes and applications using artificial intelligence for data extraction, visualizations, and text communication.

  • Engineering AI prompts for specific outputs (AI-generated text, SQL, dates, etc.)
  • Chaining multiple models and external APIs
