Three of us started a commercial diving company doing general underwater construction which included bridges, tunnels, pipelines, cables, inspections traveling water screen repair, In 1972 we were asked if we could dive in a nuclear reactor vessel to remove some barrel bolts. Up until that time, no one had ever dove inside a nuclear power plant. We developed the equipment, procedures, tools, trained personnel, coordinated with all power plant disciplines and successfully and safely completed the job. . That was the successful genesis of nuclear diving which exists to this day., doing a variety of underwater tasks.

During my 17 years at UCC, I served as a diver, VP of operations, and President. We sold the company in 1986 and I retired.
