I learned to read music on my own from a keyboard I bought at a yardsale along with a "keyboard for beginners" book at age 7. Those $5 were one of the best investments I ever made in my life. After a few years of being self-taught, I joined the band for my school and took on a new instrument - the flute. This instrument has given me opportunities and relationships that are part of what makes me today. Thank you to the music world, I was able to attend a private institution and attend some of the most beautiful concerts of our world.
