• Collecting samples of blood, while reassuring patient care and comfort. Putting in nursing home orders and printing labels for morning phlebotomist to collect labs at their facilities. I will make sure our carts on the floors are stocked and that we have the supplies we need. In between draws I will go help clean and turn over ED exam rooms when we are busy and short staffed. When our housekeeper is busy cleaning rooms upstairs, I will go around in the ED and empty all the trash cans and put the trash bags in the soiled utility room. I also will help wipe down and clean the counter tops in the nurses station.

When I first started at FHN:

*I worked in housekeeping for three years.

*I cleaned offices and patient rooms.

I worked my way up in the organization:

*Working as a secretary

*In house trained PCT in Occupational Health.

*On call drug testing for FHN as well after our office was closed

*Trained RN, phlebotomist, and PCT to draw blood.

*Another phlebotomist and I would also go out to Broadstep in Freeport to draw blood on the disabled residents.
