- Work with State Department of New Mexico's Early Childhood Department to ensure that Shining Stars Preschool is meeting all of the requirements set forth by the state of NM. - Work collaboratively with RRPS Food Services to improve the snack process for the students at SSPS, and to ensure that students are receiving the appropriate snack based on their specific health needs and allergies.
- Responsible for providing school wide discipline to 3Y and 4Y students at SSPS. This includes being a member of the Star Team which frequently responds to kids in crisis and help support teachers with whatever they may need to ensure the safety of the student, teacher, and classmates.
- Responsible for the implementation of safety procedures throughout the school. Duties include running schoolwide safety drills running schoolwide safety drills throughout the year, and making sure that safety supplies throughout the school are updated, replenished, and in good working order.
- Communicate with all stakeholders through the use of weekly memos to communicate with staff and monthly newsletters to communicate with families.
- Meet in Professional Learning Communities (PLC) biweekly with staff to facilitate discussions with staff around the Social and Emotional well being of students, and strategies to help students and get ready to learn.
