At Scouting of America, I leveraged my expertise in program planning and interpersonal communication to enhance troop experiences, successfully fostering a sense of community and safety among participants. Inspirational Scout Troop Leader and Committee Member with 9 years of experience, starting as a Den Leader of 16 first graders all the way to 30, middle and high school ages scouts, in Scouting; helping 9 scouts reach the highest rank of Eagle Scout, with several more well on their way. I am a part of a club called competitive mounted orienteering (CMO.) It is called the thinking horse sport, where I ride my horse in a team of up to 6, and try to find markers in the woods using compass bearings. There are two courses the short course is 5-10 miles with only 5 markers, the long course is 10-15 miles, with 10 markers. The team that finds the most, with the fastest time wins the event. Not only do you ride the events, but, everyone takes turn in setting up and hosting a ride each year.
