With more than a decade of pediatric ER experience across four boroughs of New York City’s diverse communities and premier children’s hospitals, I have developed deep expertise in pediatric trauma, emergency interventions, interdisciplinary collaboration, and family-centered care—all within fast-paced, high-acuity environments. I am now completing the final courses required to earn my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). My decision to return to school is grounded in a strong commitment to professional growth and long-term impact.
Being offered a position at Weill Cornell NewYork-Presbyterian as one of only a few pediatric ER nurses has been both an honor and a transformative experience. It has reinforced my vision for the future: to become a pediatric nursing scientist focused on research, education, and health equity.
This scholarship would provide essential support as I balance continued clinical practice with academic advancement. It will allow me to build on my practical knowledge and translate it into leadership and scholarly contributions that improve pediatric care—particularly for underserved and high-risk populations.
I am committed to evidence-based nursing and lifelong learning. I see this next step not just as the completion of a degree, but as an opportunity to elevate the care I provide and contribute meaningfully to the future of nursing science. I am grateful for your consideration and the opportunity to further my education in service to children, families, and the nursing profession.
