Kasey Lagow

• Oversee day-to-day hospital operations and serve as a point of contact for hospital maintenance, administration, security, bedboard, risk management, and physician groups
• Manage hospital-wide staffing for the next shift in coordination with the management team.
• Submit hospital census data to hospital administration
• Respond to overhead codes and emergencies.
• Manage bed placement and transfers.

• Experience with a variety of types of critically ill patients
• Proficient with sedation, pressors, CRRT, management of ventilated patients, post-operative patients, and post-cardiac cath patients
• Close collaboration with the Intensivist and other members of the care team
• Cross-trained in Rapid Response
• Preceptor for new graduate nurses and JU synthesis students

• Oversee and assist with day to day surgical/tele unit operations and patient care
• Serve as a resource to other nurses on the floor
• Selected as a preceptor for nursing residents as well as RN/BSN students
• Collaborate with house supervisor and unit manager on staffing and unit needs

• Manage the care of post-surgical patients and Telemetry patients

with Bariatric Surgery nursing experience

• Manage the care of patients with PCAs, Epidurals, Ketamine, and Lidocaine drips
• Proficient with starting ultrasound-guided IVs, managing surgical drains, reading telemetry strips, and caring for patients out of PACU

• Provide patient care to heart failure and renal failure patients
