- These were both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- The role as a student sonographer was to prep the patient, the room, and the machine for the exam.
- Exams included both TTE and TEE.
- Assistance was given when sonographers needed help turning the patients, pushing Definity or agitated saline, retrieving supplies when needed, refilling gel bottles when empty and cleaning the machines.
- In the recent rotations exams have been performed independently.
- A very critical part of clinical rotations is education.
- When given the chance to learn something new the opportunity as always taken.
