At Jasper Engines and Transmissions, I excelled in fusion head welding, showcasing my problem-solving abilities and teamwork. I adeptly identified and repaired cracks in cast iron cylinder heads, enhancing the welding process's efficiency. My friendly, positive attitude and welding expertise significantly contributed to our team's success, demonstrating a strong drive and passion for continuous improvement.
My responsibilities would include checking for cracks in cast iron cylinder heads with a magnaflux gun. After the cracks are marked they need cut out and prepped for welding. After the cracks are cut out they need welded up with an oxy/acetylene torch when the head is 800°F. After they are welded they need ground out, “ported”, and ready to be machined. I was involved in all of these processes.
