I have been a nurse for over 25 years with the majority of my career in critical care. My experiences also include Peri-Anesthesia Nursing, Peri-Operative Nursing, Emergency Department Nursing, Medical-Surgical Nursing, Mental Health Nursing and Long-Term Care Nursing. I have worked in level I trauma centers to rural level V.
I was raised in a small town in Eastern Washington. I began my nursing care in Lewiston, Idaho located 30 miles from my hometown. I was fortunate to be able to travel throughout Eastern Washington and Idaho prior to working at a Level I trauma center. I then moved to Yakima and obtained a wide variety of nursing skills and knowledge working in various departments. These experiences have enhanced my knowledge and skills. In recent years I have been working in critical care in Spokane and have taken a couple travel assignments.
I have enjoyed being a nurse and working at the bedside with patients, family, and other staff. I find myself often in situations where I assume the role of advocating for staff. I have been involved in several committees as a staff nurse.
I have participated in national nursing organizations such as American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN), and Washington State Nurses Association (WSNA).
My passion As ththat prouse my current skills and knowledge and increase my skills and knowledge.
