- I have just started working this week with an adorable 2 month old. The parents both work from home and needed someone to help out with their new baby. Some of the tasks involve feeding him every 3 hours and washing the bottles, changing his diapers, work on tummy time, and taking him for walks around the block.
- Worked with children from 3 months old up to 9 years old.
- My Gym is all about encouraging children to try different skills and gain confidence in various categories such as imagination, gross motor skills, muscle strength, and more!
- I am a teacher called "Miss Katelyn" and absolutely adore all of the kids I have worked with!
- Some of the activities we have done for older kids include rock wall climbing, jumping on the trampoline, hanging on a high bar, etc.
- Some of the activities we have done for infants and toddlers include helping them sit up on their own, independent playtime (learning how to share with others), walking while holding a "push and pull", etc.
- This Day Care center included children from 3 months old to 4 years old.
- I mostly worked with the infants. My job was to make sure they were fed and changed every 3 hours and were safe throughout the day. We had lots of toys for them to play with and tried to encourage them to interact with one another. We kept a record of everything that every infant ate, when we changed them if it was W, BM, or Dry, and what their over-all mood was for the day. The ratio for infants was 5:1.
- This Center was government funded for the families who needed a little more help with their children. It was definitely a challenge to see what some of these children were going through at home, but I loved to see them smile when they came into school.
- My job was to "engage with children and keep them off of their technology". I would take care of two children (ages 5 and 10) doing various activities such as walking around the block, going to different playgrounds, going to the library to read, and more.
- I was also in charge of helping to clean around the house and feed the children lunch and dinner.
