While working here I am tasked with anything the owner would need. I was tasked with posting all job openings including with following up with backgrounds for potential candidates, making sure requirements for employment was met. I was tasked with making sure all paperwork was completed correctly and filed in the right place.
My position while here was to help file, sort, and organize all paperwork as it was finished for loans and titles for different banks. I was assigned to make sure all paperwork was completed correctly before entering any information into the system.
While attending my internship, I had the opportunity to apply my learning. Schedule, coordinate, and monitor appointments. Along with those tasks, I would establish, organize, and maintain patient medical records. Help with coding and processing insurance claims correctly. I would also take on the tasks of following patient transactions, along with billing, bookkeeping, and arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services.
Following the work I did during my time in the front office, I have multiple tasks in the back office. These tasks consist of measuring vital signs, helping with examinations, sterilizing instruments, assisting with minor office surgery, preparing and administering medications as directed by a physician, taking medical histories, running electrocardiograms, conducting laboratory testing in urinalysis, hematology, and microbiology, explaining treatment procedures to a patient, and drawing blood.
Here at this position I was a admission representative. For this position, I was assigned to reach out to any prospective students who have started an application, applied, or have requested any information about the school. I was also assigned the task of tending to the phones to answer any questions necessary or would transfer calls to the correct department. Another task that I was assigned was to filter through applications to make sure all requirements were met by the prospective student. If any information was wrong, missing, or not achieved, I would then send out proper requests for information, either through phone, email, or mail.
