Victim Advocate/ Emergency Placement Care Coordinator
• Provide information and services to victims of domestic violence and their families to include crisis intervention.
• Promote Domestic Violence Prevention through community meetings and public education.
• Identify needs and recommend referral for professional assistance, observing behavior, and modes of response during initial interview.
• Provide emergency placement services to children in abusive situations.
• Conduct command and troop education.
New Parent Support Program
• Providing individualized support for new and expecting parents.
• Assist on home visitation services in the parent and child's learning environment.
Exceptional Family Member Program
• Provide comprehensive and coordinated community support, housing, educational, medical, and personnel services to Families with special needs.
• Multi-disciplinary Inclusion Action Team (SNAP/MIAT) to interview clients and family members to obtain key information for case planning and management.
• Establish services to ensure the most appropriate placement of children with special needs.
• Review new applications for Child, Youth, and School Services (CYSS) programs.
• Review the needs of children already placed in the CYSS programs.
