Student Internship
- Student intern at Mclane's Children's Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (12 hour shifts)
- Responsible for multiple patients
- Knowledgeable in mechanical ventilation, including; High Frequency Jet Ventilation, Oscillatory Ventilation, Nitric Oxide
- Knowledgeable in BiPAP and CPAP ventilation
- Knowledgeable in IPPB treatments
- Was present at all high risk deliveries, rapids, and Code Blue
- Responsible for patient assessment and progress, including communication with physicians and care team
- Responsible for administering appropriate medications on patient's treatment plan
- Have experience in administering surfactant in the neonatal intensive care unit
- Responsible for the charting of my own patient's through the use of EPIC medical charting system
- Experience in resuscitation in both neonates, pediatrics, and adults
- Educated in informing patient's about Asthma Action Plans and what to expect in the future
- Worked as a Patient Treatment Coordinator until I had gained acceptance into the Respiratory Therapy Program at Temple College
