  • Help technologist with positioning patients in the correct way anatomically for the best quality of images.
  • Help prep sedation patients by filling out necessary paperwork, taking vitals, and explaining the sedation rules to the patient.
  • Explain to the patient their upcoming exam details: what the scanner is like, how we will have them positioned, how long it will take, etc.
  • Check over metal safety checklist for any "yes" answers and get clarification if needed; report "yes" answers to tech.
  • Help to comfort claustrophobic or nervous patients when necessary.
  • Fold any linens that are needed around the clinic and make sure everything is stocked well.
