My name is Katherine Bradford and I have always had the motivation to be independent and make my own money and because of this drive I have worked a job since I was 13. I have had the opportunity to work so many amazing different jobs which has benefited me in countless ways and has also opened the way for me to have knowledge and experience in various different areas. I just started at Brigham Young University where I hope to study social work as well as a minor in philosophy. I'm originally from Salt Lake City, UT but my family just moved to Alpine, UT and I just moved into Helaman Halls at Brigham Young University Provo. I am a quick learner and have excellent people skills. I was also able to receive extensive knowledge and training in Dental Assistance through a class taken at Granite Technical University.
As I have started down in Provo I have had the opportunity to Nanny for Kaylie and her 2 little boys, ages 5 and 7. With my extensive knowledge with children from babysitting, coaching and teaching I am able to help Kaylie by taking care of her boys, as well as cleaning the house and running errands for her!
As a photographers assistant I was in charge of everything behind the scenes. I would capture children's attention, move lighting equipment, adjust clothing and hair, and fix any emergency that came up. I would also answer phones and work directly with clients as well as creating connections through sessions so they felt welcomed and loved. I was also in charge of making sure everything was perfect for the photographer so that all that they had to do was the camera work, this meant also working along with and well with the photographers.
As a tennis coach for the Salt Lake Tennis and Health Club I was in charge of teaching classes at the private club as well as representing the club in different after school actives for elementary schools. I was in charge of keeping track of students progress and helping individualize the lessons to what they needed. I was also in charge of set up and clean up, as well as communicating with parents. At the club itself I helped children of ages ranging between 4-15, and skill levels ranging between beginner to mildly skilled.
With a tennis court in my backyard I was able to create my own tennis camp in the summers for children, on top of this I offered privates to girls coming into high school trying to get onto the tennis team. Along with teaching tennis I was also in charge of creating flyers, sending them out, keeping in touch with contacts, coordinating times, pick ups, snacks, water, coordinating all of the money as well as choosing the prices.
As a sales associate it was my job to help customers find what they needed, organizing clothing, keeping dressing rooms clean and promoting business. Along with these jobs I was also given the task of staying in contact with repeat customers and contacting them if something I thought they would like came in, as well as creating style boards for them and making them feel appreciated so they would come back.
As a lifeguard it was my responsibility to scan the water for anyone in distress and with my extensive training I was prepared to jump in and save someone as well as minister CPR if it was needed. When I was not actively on the stand watching it was my job to be there to help people with wounds and conditions using my knowledge of first aid. I was also in charge of working with club members and helping them finding amenities.
