Collaborated with museum education department to create this fast paced, 140 hour, month long internship in compliance with Hollins University January term guidelines.

• Used prior experience as an education interpretation volunteer to create and enhance existing education materials.
• Created graphics, games and activities for volunteers to use to educate a wide variety of guests.
• Used existing information on the museums exhibits to curate relevant education materials.
• Researched native wildlife and found reliable sources for information.
• Reviewed and updated existing materials to make sure they were useful and relevant.
• Established a customizable activity board for volunteers to use and add onto in the future.

• Used resources like animal specimens, fact sheets, and crafts to educate the public on native wildlife.
• Engaged with guests, usually young children and their parents.
• Provide information on events at the museum and locations of exhibits.

• Watched 2 to 5 children, for 15 hours weekly and as needed basis
• Playing games and entertaining kids, planning crafts, resolving conflicts, getting kids fed and put to bed on time

• Help and supervise kids ages 5 to 7 with crafts, planting a garden, playing outside, etc.
