Emergency Department:

• Initiate life-saving interventions, including airway management, oxygen therapy, cardiac monitoring, and resuscitation measures
• Assist with and perform advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) and basic life support (BLS) protocols.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, providing critical interventions and stabilizing patients during crises.
• Collaborate with physicians, paramedics, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely and effective care delivery.
• Communicate clearly with patients and families during high-stress situations, providing updates and emotional support.

Urgent Care Clinic:

• Provide rapid, high-quality care to patients of all ages presenting with acute illnesses, trauma, and life-threatening conditions.
• Perform focused triage assessments to prioritize care based on acuity and clinical presentation
• Managed rabies exposure cases, including risk assessment, initiation of post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP), administration of rabies vaccine and human rabies immune globulin (HRIG), coordination with Department of Health for reporting and guidance, and patient education to ensure full compliance with vaccination series

Ambulatory Surgery:

• Implement infection control protocols according to hospital standards, minimizing patient risk during procedures.
• Sedation administration with simultaneously monitoring patient status during procedures, including vital signs and response to sedation.
• Conducted thorough pre and post-op patient assessments to identify changes in condition, promptly notifying physicians and initiating appropriate interventions when necessary.
• Provided comprehensive patient and caregiver education on post-operative care, medications, activity restrictions, and follow-up instructions, ensuring understanding to promote safety and prevent complications after outpatient procedures.

Patient-Centered Care:

• Provide comprehensive care to patients across the lifespan, including infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Perform daily assessments, monitor vital signs, identify early signs of clinical deterioration or improvement.

Pre- and Post-Operative Care:

• Deliver thorough pre-operative education and assessments to prepare patients for surgery.
• Provide attentive post-operative monitoring, including pain management, wound care, and early complication detection.
• Provide pre-and post-operative care, including patient education, monitoring for complications, and wound management.

Care Planning & Coordination:

• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient assessments and physician orders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, case managers, and physical therapists to ensure coordinated and effective care.
• Coordinate continuity of care by scheduling post-discharge appointments, arranging follow-up services, and collaborating with case management to ensure smooth transitions.

Clinical Procedures:

• Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products; manage central lines, PICC lines, and surgical drains in accordance with safety protocols.
• Initiate and manage peripheral IV therapy, including site selection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and IV push medication administration.
• Perform pain assessments using age-appropriate tools; administer and evaluate response to analgesics; support non-pharmacologic pain interventions.
• Conduct daily assessments and develop individualized care plans across diverse patient populations.
• Insert and manage Foley catheters and nasogastric (NG) tubes; administer enteral feedings and monitor tolerance.
• Initiate and manage total parenteral nutrition (TPN); coordinate care with dietary and pharmacy teams.
• Perform ostomy care, including stoma assessment, appliance changes, and patient teaching.
• Deliver tracheostomy care, including suctioning, site maintenance, and emergency airway support.
• Conduct post-fall assessments and neuro checks; implement fall prevention strategies and environmental safety measures.
• Assist with mobility and rehabilitation, including ambulation, range-of-motion exercises, and safe use of assistive devices.
• Monitor and respond to behavioral health concerns, including signs of delirium, anxiety, or agitation; use therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques.
• Provide end-of-life and palliative care with sensitivity and compassion; support patient dignity and comfort, and assist families during transitions.
• Administer blood glucose monitoring and insulin; manage diabetic care protocols.
• Provide first aid and triage for illness, injury, or behavioral health episodes during shifts.
• Operate and monitor equipment such as telemetry monitors, oxygen delivery systems, and infusion pumps.

Patient & Family Education:

• Provide clear and compassionate education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, procedures, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Encourage active involvement in care to improve outcomes and patient satisfaction.
