Vero Beach Elks #1774
I have been a member in good standing of the Vero Beach Elks Lodge #1774 for 9 consecutive years.
Over my 9 years of membership, I have served as Chairman or committee member of the following:
- 7 years Elected as Lodge Secretary. The Lodge Secretary is a member of the Board of Directors and an Officer of the Lodge working closely and assisting the Exalted Ruler. The Secretary's office is the hub of lodge Membership and Reporting to the FL Elks Association and Grand Lodge. Along with the Exalted Ruler, the Secretary is a voting member of the FL State Elks Association at the FL State Convention.
- 7 years on the Americanism Essay Contest Committee serving 1 year (2025) as Chairman.
- 3 years as a volunteer at Vero Beach Elks Love Kids of Character School Store.
- 7 years as Chairman for the Vero Beach Elks - Florida Elks Youth Camp sending area children ages 9-13 to camp at no cost. As Chairman, I assist parents with registration, arrange for bus transportation, and serve as a contact and chaperone throughout the entire process.
- 9 years volunteering on the Wabasso Christmas Party & Easter Egg Hunt Committee. The past. 3 years serving as Chairman.
- 9 years as a Cook for the kitchen serving 1 year as House Committee Chairman. As called upon, over my 9 years, have served as Kitchen Manager and currently, Kitchen Coordinator scheduling cooks, planning menus, recruiting volunteers, serving food and other duties as requested.
