I've been a mother since December 1982 after the birth of my first son. During his childhood, I prepared meals, made doctor appointments, attended parent/teacher meetings and took care of him when he was sick. When I got married in 1993, we had two more sons, the second was born in 1996, and the third was born in 2000. With the second son, we found that he is autistic, so there were more doctor appointments, more school meetings and more attention to detail with him. It has been very fulfilling to work with him and get him to adulthood, which is where he is now. We thought our youngest was also autistic, but he isn't. I took all of their childhood off to stay home and raise them, working periodically from time to time. In 2021, my oldest son asked me to come and stay with his son while he worked out of state, and when I came back from that, it was time for me to go back to work, so I applied and was accepted to work at Amazon.
