Accomplishments

When becoming the Retail Store Manager, I inherited a Full Line store that had been without a manager for 5 months, the store was short-staffed in integral positions and trending 22% below LYS. I immediately staffed key positions and looked for opportunities for sales growth. I expanded the team sports and saw a sales recapture & growth of 42% in the 1st 3 months. I increased promotion of our Leasing program and expanded the TV’s, Mattresses, Furniture, and Large Appliance categories by 27% and cut VE by 39% during my term.


During my time as the Integrated Retail lead my responsibility was to oversee the day-to-day operations of MyGofer.com and Kmart.com online order processes within our store


During 2010, I had the second-highest volume of sales in the country, coming in second only to our corporate store in Hoffman Estates. I was also able to build a strong customer base with in our community with a lot of the non-profit organizations that drove an $80,000 holiday sales increase. The store continued to retain and work with those groups during the holidays to drive additional sales up until store closing.
