Collaborative care of critically ill patients, including severe trauma, sepsis, or medical complications, as well as cardiac, neuro, and thoracic surgeries. Operate as preceptor, unit nurse, and PRN in PACU.

• Central Alert Team - Nov 2020-April 2024

Live sepsis tracking by monitoring labs, vitals, and documentation to assess the patients meeting sepsis triggers. Facilitating interdisciplinary coordination of care to ensure the completion of the sepsis protocol, including the 3- and 6-hour bundles.

• Surgical Intermediate Care Unit (SIMCU) - Nov 2011-May 2016.

Operated as Charge Nurse, scheduler, and interviewer, as well as unit nurse. Caring for step-down level post-surgical cardiac, thoracic, neuro, and trauma surgeries and medical intermediate care. Educated and trained new staff and nursing students.

• Oncology/Palliative Care Unit (4N) - Aug 2010 - Nov 2011

Daily nursing care for a patient population that included medical and surgical cancer patients, those who needed inpatient chemotherapy, as well as palliative care and inpatient hospice.

• Medical/ Surgical/Oncology Unit - Employed as Unit RN, new graduate, certified in chemotherapy Patient population included general surgery patients, oncology and impatient chemo infusions, and medical overflow.
