I am a motivated, dedicated, hardworking individual seeking to re-enter the workforce and gain practical experience in the veterinary field. After a 20-year hiatus dedicated to raising a family, I am eager to contribute my strong work ethic, organizational skills, and passion for animal care to a professional veterinary setting.
I grew up in a household with multiple animals that I took care of including but not limited to cats, dogs, hamsters, birds, bunnies. I am comfortable handling and working with large and small animals.
Through out my life I would pet sit for people and walk and care for friends and family pets. I also use to ride horses care and clean them along with maintaining the cleanliness of there stalls.
I volunteered at the Wildlife Museum in California, handling, cleaning, and maintaining the animal rental program of hamsters, rabbits, rats, and snakes. I also gave tours and presentations of the different local wildlife exhibits. I also handled wildlife including but not limited to barn owls, snakes, lizards, and opossums.
Rescuing a puppy and raising him to an aging dog, has not only been rewarding but has continually teaches me a great deal of empathy and compassion. To be able to care for and provide a positive surrounding and good life for him has been amazing. Learning how to adjust and transition from a young animal to a geriatric pet has been a learning and growing process of the needs and wants of our pet.
I shall continue to care for and tend to animal in my life as I prepare to enter into a career that provides me that ability.
