I treat, manage and monitor babies who require respiratory care.
I attend deliveries and provide respiratory interventions as needed, including PPV, CPAP, intubation assist, surfactant administration and placing on mechanical ventilation.
I am also part of the neonatal transport team that brings babies to our facility for a higher level of care.
As a senior RT in the NICU and as a Draeger V500 super user, I mentor new RTs and am a resource person for those who need assistance troubleshooting ventilator issues as well as other patient/respiratory issues.
