Lived Experience
While one can't tell by looking at my work and education history, I have extensive lived mental health experience beginning in childhood and continuing on throughout my life. Stemming from diagnosed OCD and complex trauma, I have been in therapy for most of my life. I have been through hospitalizations at four different mental health facilities in Colorado and am knowledgeable about both voluntary and involuntary admissions. These experiences were truly life changing, mainly due to the relationships I was able to form with my peers. Ever since being discharged I have dreamed of helping people who are going through their own mental health struggles. Having gone through my own healing journey, I feel empowered and ready to do so.
