Accomplishments

CHI Memorial: Mary Ellen Locher Breast Center


Outreach Program:

Obtained funds from National Consortium of Breast Centers, Susan G. Komen Foundation and donors to purchase and launch the first mobile mammography program screening women for cancer in outlaying Tennessee areas.


Proactively gained funds for the breast and cervical screening, diagnostic procedures and treatment if necessary, by enrolling uninsured women in the Tennessee Breast and Cervical Screening Program.

As Director of Women's Services, Hawaii Pacific Health, primary accomplishments include coordinating the moving sequences of closing the original hospital based center, and opening the new facility with minimal interruption of services. Expanded women's services to include a patient library, enhancing patient experience with hiring the first nurse navigator to guide women along their cancer journey, including coordination of care plans; achieving NQMBC Center of Excellence status, and initiated the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers accreditation.
