Teams are composed of 5 runners completing 67 miles of a strenuous, steep, up and down course through the Oregon Coast Range ending in Coos Bay, OR.
  • Oregon High Desert Grotto (OHDG) (www.ohdgrotto.com), Member starting 2011. Activities include discovery, exploration, and clean-up in Central Oregon caves and surrounding areas.
  • Cave Research Foundation, 2006 (http://www.cave-research.org/). Monitored two caves in the Ozark National Scenic River ways, collecting information on the biological inventory (including two endangered bats - the Gray bat and the Indiana Bat) and the overall condition of the resource.
  • Fire Prevention Education, 2006. Represented the fire organization at an Oregon Beavers game; escorted Smokey Bear and managed fire prevention booth educating people about fire safety and fire prevention.

  • Fish Clinic May 2001-2005, Assisted with the set up of the fish clinic. Transported material needed for booths and display. Operated the fish painting booth; had children of all ages working with paints, stamps and color.
  • World Forestry Center, 2005. Spokesperson, educating people about what is like to be in a Hotshot career and work in the fire organization. This is an on going education program on Different careers that work with or within the forest.
  • Supported World Forestry Center, 2004 Instruct on fire safety and awareness. Explained aspects of fire safety and awareness to Kindergarten thru 3rd grade students, Boy and Girl Scouts
