I worked in the clinic and the Hospital part of a prison. In the clinic area I was responsible for taking full assessment and depending on the problem I was able to prescribe over the counter medications. If they needed to see the doctor I would get an appointment scheduled. When I worked in the hospital section I did assessments, passed meds, started IV's and running the IV medication. I worked in this area for 4 years and really enjoyed it. I also did EKG's. The only reason I left was because we moved to Colorado.
