I implemented a "direct to bank" finance system for the finance department in lieu of using a finance company that shopped the rates and terms for customer's. I created a system that allows the company to pull the customer's credit reports and shop these rates and terms in house, instead of using outside companies to do this. This step allowed the dealership to retain 100% of the reserve/back end money instead of only receiving a portion of it. I would take a customer's credit information to see if he/she would qualify for financing by running the credit report. I would then shop our lenders to see who would give the customer the best rate and terms, notify the customer of these facts, and contract them with the lender that offered the best terms.
Weekly accounts payable check runs, balancing vendor statements to invoices. Applying customer payments that were mailed in or called in to pay via credit card.
Weekly payroll for up to 12 employees. Worked directly with the company's CPA office for weekly tax deposits, monthly sales tax deposits, all state and federal requirements.
Processed all paperwork for the Department of Motor Vehicles and for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. I did this for the State of Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi, and Arkansas, ensuring proper titling and registration for each customer.
