Executive Chef Darryl Borden Park Crest is thrilled to have Darryl Borden as our in-house caterer. With over 30-years of experience in the food and catering business, he has successfully opened and managed restaurants throughout the state. Mostly known for opening Birmingham’s award-winning Bombay Café, he has climbed the culinary ladder tackling The Pub, The Canteen, The Veranda, About Thyme Catering, and Gourmet Express where he distributed handmade foods to upscale grocery stores and delis for nearly seven years. Darryl is regarded as one of the most sought-after chefs in Birmingham. His unsurpassed quality of food and passion for the business has even brought him to the sports forefront! He has executed events for over 2,000 guests at Bryant Denny Stadium, Coleman Coliseum, and several sponsored golf tournaments. He has also worked as personal chef for Alabama’s head football coach, Nick Saban, allowing him to prepare his specialties to recruits, coaches, and the team. With his well-rounded experience in weddings, social and corporate functions, he knows how to deliver a successful event based on the client’s needs.
