Under my preceptor’s close supervision, I participated in:

• Seeing and completing 6-8 patient visits.
• Performing women’s wellness exams with breast and pelvic exams with performing PAP smears
• Seeing patients for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of gynecological infections: STI, UTI, yeast, BV, PID, etc.
• Seeing patients for menstrual concerns and menopause-related concerns
• Providing contraception consultation and removal of IUDs
• Seeing patients for prenatal visits throughout their pregnancy
• Seeing patients for postpartum wellness exams
• Developing of diagnoses and management plans, ordering labs, imaging, and referrals, prescribing appropriate medications and treatments, and providing red flag emergency instructions.

Under my preceptor’s close supervision, I participated in:

• Seeing and completing 4-6 patient visits.
• Documenting patient encounters in the medical record.
• Performing patient assessment and diagnosis of acute and chronic health problems.
• Providing preventive care such as well-child checks, adult physicals, and gynecological examinations· Development of a management plan that addresses the diagnosis and prescribed appropriate medications, treatments, labs, imaging, referrals, and red flag emergency instructions.
• Evaluation of patient response to treatment and development of a follow up plan to monitor compliance.
• Applying full spectrum of health care services including disease prevention, health promotion and counseling for behavior change, development of therapeutic relationships and partnerships with patients, families, and other professionals to facilitate optimal care.

• Managing complex and hemodynamically unstable cardiac and thoracic surgery patients in the ICU settings.
• Implemented medication and IV administration, catheter insertion, and airway management.
• Providing nursing care to complex patients requiring support with durable and non-durable cardiac devices such as ventricular assistive devices, total artificial hearts, intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, Centrimag, Tandem Heart, and ECMO support.
• Participating and assisting cardio-thoracic surgical team with emergency bedside procedures
• Monitored patient condition by interpreting and tracking EKG readings, identifying irregular telemetry readings and updating team members on changes in stability or acuity.
• Evaluating healthcare needs, goals for treatment, and available resources of each patient and connected to optimal providers and care.
• Training new nurses in proper techniques, care standards, operational procedures, and safety protocols.

• Provided nursing care to patients after cardiac, thoracic surgeries, and vascular surgeries, and caring for general cardiology patients requiring continuous telemetry monitoring.

• Administered medications and treatment to patients and monitored responses while working with healthcare teams to adjust care plans.
